The Power of the Cross through the Spirit and the Word Working to Heal and Restore Families

Behold I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the Lord.  And He will restore the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers… Malachi 4:5,6

Godly Counsel
Cedar Valley Church has worked to establish a safe and confidential place where people can receive godly counsel through the Bible and prayer.  Our prayer ministry is not a psychological counseling service, nor is it intended to be.  Prayer ministers are trained to help families and individuals apply Biblical principles and healing prayer to areas of life that need the transforming power of Jesus' death and resurrection.

To begin the process:
1) Click here to download the Life History Questionnaire
2) Submit your completed questionnaire to Cedar Valley Church Prayer Ministries, 8600 Bloomington Avenue, Bloomington, MN 55425
3) Call 952.883.1509 to schedule an in-take appointment.

For more information, contact Pastor Lorelei Weidman at 952.854.1100 or loreleiw@cvchurch.org.

Testimonies
“God came, changed and restored me.  I am now able to face tomorrow without fear.” - A.P.

“My daughter and I were at an impasse.  There was little or no communication between us.  There was not much depth to the relationship with my wife.  Many of these issues are changing with the ministry I’ve received.” - M.F.

“Before, I wouldn’t even have recognized what I was doing.  Now, I not only recognize, but repent.  My husband says I am more relaxed and less controlling.” - K.S.

“Before, whenever something came up in my marriage, we would approach it from a ‘behavior modification’ angle, relying on our own willpower to get us through.  Now we are able to see it as an opportunity for repentance, forgiveness, and the real healing.” - V.F.

Sunday Morning Prayer
Room 116 is used on Sunday mornings from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. as a place where you can go to pray and/or to receive prayer. Room 116 is staffed through out the morning if you desire to pray with someone.

Interested in joining the Sunday Morning Prayer team?  If you have the heart to serve others and want to witness the Spirit of God transform lives, prayerfully consider being part of this team.  The purpose of this team is to pray with individuals who need prayer.  In addition, to pray for the ministries, leadership, missionaries, and Sunday services of Cedar Valley Church. The Wilderness Encounter, discover God’s plan for true freedom!
Winter session January – March
Wednesdays, 6:00 – 8:15 p.m.

Enrollment closes January 16, 2010

Who is the Wilderness Encounter for?
If you have ever thought, “I know I’m a Christian, but it seems like I’m always struggling.  I don’t experience the joy and freedom like other Christians do.  What am I doing wrong or what’s wrong with me?”  If this is you, then it’s time to discover God’s plan for true freedom.

The Wilderness Encounter is an 11-week class where each evening you will enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal in a relaxed setting while meeting new friends and learning how to be free from… The effects of dysfunctional families, broken relationships, addictions, bitterness, and negative character traits.

Understand what forgiveness is, what it is not, why you should forgive, and how to do it.  Exchange your “tinted lenses” through which you view God for a clearer view.  Celebrate God’s view of you and learn how to live God’s way.
