Cedar Valley Church believes giving, otherwise known as tithing, is a recognition that everything we have comes from God. The practice checks our greed, promotes personal discipline and thrift, testifies to our faith, promotes God’s work in the world, and alleviates human need. While we do not believe tithing to be a condition for salvation, we do believe it is a very important biblical model, one which should set the minimal standard for Christian giving for people in all income ranges.

The attitude with which our tithe is given is also very important. God loves a cheerful giver 2 Corinthians 9:7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Giving with a grudging spirit loses much of the blessing that can come as we faithfully give out of love rather than obligation.

Giving is a word most often associated with money. It actually incorporates a much broader understanding at Cedar Valley Church. We feel so strongly about a person's understanding of the principles involved in giving that we recommend that everyone participate in one of the many classes offered at Cedar Valley called Crown Ministry. GIVING AT CEDAR VALLEY
For those regular attendees at Cedar Valley Church, financial offerings are a regular part of our worship experience.

Traditional Method Giving: If you prefer giving through one of our traditional methods by either dropping off your gift in an offering plate during one of our services, stopping by our main office during the week and leaving your gift with accounting, or by mailing it in, please note due to changes in the tax code that dictate individuals who want charitable income credit must have a receipt for all contributions from that institution. In order to receive a receipt from Cedar Valley Church at the end of the year, each of your contributions must be placed in an envelope with your name and address on it. For your convenience, Cedar Valley provides giving envelopes at each service or feel free to use your own envelope.
