About Real Kids FX 10:05–10:50 a.m. Check-In and pick-up: Kids' Auditorium Real Kids FX takes funny sketches and worship and combines them with a short, creative message for the purpose of partnering with you, the parent. It's a service designed for families of elementary age children, like a family movie. Imagine the possibilities when you worship and laugh with your children while gaining the knowledge you need to continue the discussion at home at unplanned moments throughout the week. Kids can attend alone: Parents are strongly encouraged to attend Real Kids FX with their children, but it is not required as some parents may attend a Sunday Group or serve in other areas of the church. The FX environment is set up so that it will also minister to children alone. Curriculum We use 252 Basics, a web-based curriculum especially for K–5th graders. Based on Luke 2:52, the curriculum is built around our three basic truths. 1. Wisdom: I need to make the wise choice. 2. Faith: I can trust God no matter what. 3. Friendship: I should treat others the way I want to be treated. The three basic truths are amplified through 36 monthly virtues (such as kindness, generosity, and faith) and 150 Bible stories. Every week there is a key TRUTH or BOTTOM LINE that we drive home, It's the ONE THING we want kids to understand and grab onto during their hour. Click here for the annual curriculum overview. Kids' Devotional—God Time We want our kids to establish a lifelong habit of spending time with God. As a guide, we provide weekly devotions (GodTime) to encourage them to spend time reading the Bible and talking to God at home. Kids can find their weekly GodTime by picking up a Kids' Bulletin during Real Kids Connect. Kids' Store Open: Sundays before and after Real Kids FX Location: Northside of Kids' Auditorium As an incentive tool for kids to spend time with God, we created a special store just for them. To purchase items in this store, kids need to earn Bible Bucks. Earning Bible Bucks: One—for coming One—for bringing a Bible Three—for knowing the monthly memory verse Five—for completing a full week of GodTime devotionals with parent's signature Parent Tools—CUE Box Make the most of everyday moments. Most parents want to raise children with good character and values. Many struggle to find the time and the means to get the job done. Where do you start? What do you say? How much time will it take? Cedar Valley wants to help equip parents with easy to use tools to make the most of everyday moments together. The CUE Box is one of those tools.
