Kids' Choir
We have a graded system of choirs for children in grades K-5. This ministry is intended to teach kids to read music, sing well and enjoy ministering with their voices. The Children's Choir sings select Sundays and at seasonal productions. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. For more information, please contact the Worship Ministries Department at 952.854.1100.
Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ)
(September-April)
JBQ is a program for kids in Grades 2-6 that encourages memorization and study of the Bible. There are experienced teams and inexperienced teams, so children may enter the program at any level. Children compete against teams from other churches in meets that are held on Saturdays. Help your child hide God's Word in his or her heart. The rewards will last a lifetime! Practices are held Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
We Love Kids Event- February 7, 2009
Cedar Valley Church has reached out to children in and around Bloomington for nearly 50 years! This is a church that loves kids! Each February since 1994, Cedar Valley sponsors an event especially for children in grades K-5. This is planned in cooperation with the citywide Bloomington Loves Its Kids month. This festive time includes games, puppets, carnival games, and large inflatables. Children sit with friends at tables decorated especially for them. They order kid food from kid-friendly menus. Every child is given first-class treatment. After dinner, the children are presented with a delightful 45-minute program of character-building entertainment. Children are given the opportunity to pray for friends, families, and communities. Last year more than four hundred enjoyed the We Love Kids event.
The schedule for the day is as follows: 3:00-5:00 p.m., games and large inflatables; 5:00-6:00 p.m., dinner and prizes; 6:00-7:00 p.m., illusion and juggling show.
Kids' Camp - June 15-19, 2009
Kids completing grades 3 - 5 are invited to participate in Kids' Camp each June at Lake Geneva Bible Camp in Alexandria. This is a great opportunity for kids to spend time with God and with each other. Great things happen in the lives of our campers every year.
