CV Kids Services—Elementary

For kids K–5th grade
Sunday Services
Year-round
9 a.m. & 10:45 a.m.
Kids Auditorium

We want kids to know about a God who created them, loves them, and is with them every day. Everything they experience at a Kids Service helps to do just that.

In service, kids have a place where they can decide to have a real relationship with Jesus and grow in their faith. They have a fun time learning about God with music and dynamic teaching designed just for them. In addition, kids interact with their peers and understand the Bible in creative and engaging ways in both large and small group settings.

For health standards, children must be free from fever or symptoms of a contagious disease or must have already been on medication for a full 24 hours prior to being in the Kids Auditorium or a classroom.

For your child's comfort and safety and the health of others, please don't bring your child to Cedar Valley Kids if he or she has any of these symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting
  • Lethargy
  • Earache or a toothache
  • Runny nose w/ ample flow
  • Diarrhea
  • Sore throat
  • Yellowish skin or eyes
  • Hacking or wet cough

Please use good judgment if your child is experiencing symptoms not listed above.

If your child starts exhibiting any of the symptoms listed above during service, you will receive a text asking you to pick up your child.

Volunteers & Staff

All Kids volunteers and staff are background-checked and trained before they start volunteering—so know that your kids are in safe hands. We show your kids that church is a safe place where they will be cared for by adults they can trust.

Check-in

Our electronic check-in system allows us to keep your child safe, contact you if necessary, and keep accurate attendance records.

If you're visiting Cedar Valley, follow signs in the parking lot for the Family Entrance (door 5). When you enter, go to the kids check-in desk, and a Cedar Valley Kids volunteer will assist you with check-in and answer any questions.

If this is a one-time visit and your family doesn’t need to be added to the electronic system, talk with a check-in volunteer when you arrive.

Large Group Environment

Service begins with worship through song and dance, followed by a short game. Kids will then learn the main idea for the morning through a Bible story, characters, and interactive lessons that helps build an understanding of God's character, the Bible and how the Holy Spirit works in their lives.

Small Group Environment

We want kids to see how God's Word (Bible teaching) fits into their everyday lives through learning how to talk to Him, and building friendships that last. After participating in the large group setting, kids meet in age-appropriate small groups to help process and understand the morning's lesson. Small group time consists of an activity and discussion questions.

Giving

We believe kids should learn about generosity at an early age. During Cedar Valley Kids Services, we encourage kids to give weekly.

Giving supports various missions projects around the world in partnership with Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge (BGMC).

Open Sundays After Service on the North Side of Kids Auditorium

As an incentive for kids to learn to spend time with God, we offer a special shop just for them. To purchase items in the shop, kids need to earn stamps through the CV Kids Devotional Journal.

Parent involvement is what makes Cedar Valley Kids successful. When parents serve, kids benefit from having more positive voices speaking into their lives each week. Cedar Valley Kids benefits from parents speaking into the ministry designed for their kids, and parents benefit from seeing their kids engage in worship, interact with their peers, and grow in their knowledge of who God is. All those who serve in Cedar Valley Kids are making an impact in the lives of kids and families that will last for years to come.

Parent Resources

We desire to walk alongside children to build life-long followers of Jesus! Our goal is to partner with parents by equipping them with resources for family discipleship, both at home and on Sundays in Kids Service and on Wednesdays in Life Groups.
