Cedar Valley Church is excited to partner with Hiking for Hope to raise funds for these incredible, life-changing projects!

In this vulnerable region of the world, displaced people and refugees live each day in a desperate state with no guarantee that they’ll be able to feed their families. Starvation is a very real threat claiming lives at unprecedented rates. But, there is hope. Venture Refugee Feeding Program partners with local church and ministry leaders to respond to this urgent need by providing meals and a Gospel presentation to these forgotten and overlooked people.

In the heart of the Red Light district in Thitali, India, a place of hope is being established. During the Covid-19 pandemic, our partner organization, Project Rescue, seized the opportunity to buy a former brothel and turn it into a beacon of hope for women and children trapped in a life of sexual exploitation. Safety, shelter, counseling, education, and life skills will be provided at the new center. All things are being made new as this building is re-purposed and lives are restored.

Giving through Hiking For Hope

Cedar Valley hikers, you’ll be asked to set up a giving webpage through Venture’s giving platform. This will make it easy for you to start your fundraising. People who give funds through your giving platform will be giving directly to Venture. Venture receives all funds for Hiking for Hope and will split the funds received 50/50 between the Venture Refugee Feeding Program and the Thitali Outreach Center (Project Rescue). People who give through this platform will receive giving receipts from Venture not Cedar Valley.

Venture will report a total dollar amount from those who hiked on behalf of Cedar Valley at the end of the fundraising period. This amount will count towards Cedar Valley’s Kingdom Builder’s goals for those projects.

CV FAITH GOALS: For those who made a CV Faith Goal, funds given to Hiking for Hope should count towards their goal amount.
