Blessed are the Pure in Heart

This week, we look at the beatitude, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” in Matthew 5:8. For those who want fellowship with God – to see His face – being pure in heart is the prerequisite. But what does it mean to have a pure heart? Is a pure heart even possible for us? Most of us are aware of the darkness in our own hearts. The good news is that the Kingdom of God has come in Jesus and His death and resurrection cleanses our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit. Happy are those who are continually purified, for they will experience God.
