Urgency

This week, we are beginning a 2-week series on the New Testament letter Jude. Jude wanted to write to a group of Christians about the salvation they shared in Jesus, but instead he felt urgently compelled to write to them to “contend for the faith” (Jude 3). What was the urgency? False teachers had “wormed” their way into their churches.. They were bringing confusion and trying to convince Christians that being saved by grace gave them freedom to sin. Their eternal life hung in the balance. Eternity necessitates urgency.
