Believers Baptism

Believe and be baptized!

Jesus said, "Believe and be baptized." According to the Bible, that's what His followers did.

Getting baptized is a great way to celebrate your new life and share it with others in a public declaration of your decision to live for Jesus. It's an outward sign of an inner change. We’re so glad you're ready to take a step of obedience in your walk with Jesus by getting water baptized!

FAQ

Prayerfully consider what you’ll be doing and experiencing. Ask the Lord to speak to your heart as you make this outward demonstration of your inward commitment to Christ.

Read Matthew 28:19 and Luke 10:19–20.

  1. Bring a towel, a plastic bag for wet clothes, necessary toiletries, tennis shoes (optional), and a change of clothes to be baptized in (undergarments and dark-colored, appropriate shorts that won’t ride up when you come out of the water—no jean cutoffs). You will receive an “I Have Decided” T-shirt to wear on the day of your baptism. You may go barefoot or wear tennis shoes.
  2. Wear your normal church clothes to service. You’ll change before you’re baptized. Remember to remove your watch and anything else that could be damaged by the water.
  3. Meet in room 112 (behind the Sanctuary) 30 minutes before the service you’ll be baptized in. You'll get your t-shirt. We’ll go over last-minute details, pray, go into the Auditorium together, and sit as a group.
