Prayerfully consider what you’ll be doing and experiencing. Ask the Lord to speak to your heart as you make this outward demonstration of your inward commitment to Christ.

Read Matthew 28:19 and Luke 10:19–20.

1. Bring a towel, a plastic bag for wet clothes, necessary toiletries, tennis shoes (optional), and a change of clothes to be baptized in (undergarments and dark-colored, appropriate shorts that won’t ride up when you come out of the water—no jean cutoffs). You will receive an “I Have Decided” T-shirt to wear on the day of your baptism. You may go barefoot or wear tennis shoes.
2. Wear your normal church clothes to service. You’ll change before you’re baptized. Remember to remove your watch and anything else that could be damaged by the water.
3. Meet in room 112 (behind the Sanctuary) 30 minutes before the service you’ll be baptized in. You'll get your t-shirt. We’ll go over last-minute details, pray, go into the Auditorium together, and sit as a group.

Acts 8:12–13 But when they believed Philip as he preached good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Even Simon himself believed, and after being baptized he continued with Philip. And seeing signs and great miracles performed, he was amazed.

Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.

Acts 2:41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Luke 3:21–22 Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”
